What good is a phone call...without a mouth? Opportunistic Jamming Attacks in Vehicle-to-Everything Communication Networks

Session Information

Title: What good is a phone call...without a mouth?

Jamming attacks are known to keep stations (STA) from accessing the network in both wireless local area networks and cellular networks. Long been ignored, we can't afford to not make communication devices resilient to these types of attacks. As connected vehicles and connected infrastructure rely on access to spectrum, mitigation techniques in the radio frequency domain are key. This presentation highlights that wireless networks are susceptible to both primitive and intelligent jamming attacks. We discover together how serious the threat is, and what steps can be done today to drive requirements down to suppliers.
